• How much does a Cavapoo puppy cost?+

  Our Cavapoo puppies currently range from $2,450 to $4,500 across the 20 listed right now; each puppy's price depends on colour, coat, size and sex. The fee always includes the full vet exam, vaccinations to date, deworming, microchip registration and our written health guarantees, and that nothing is added afterwards. Budget $1,500-$2,600 a year after purchase. Grooming is the largest line - a professional groom every 6-8 weeks at $70-$120 - followed by insurance, which matters more than usual because of the Cavalier heart risk.

• How big does a Cavapoo get?+

  An adult Cavapoo usually weighs 8-25 lb. Toy Cavapoos (bred from a Toy Poodle) tend to finish at 8-14 lb and Mini Cavapoos at 13-25 lb. Because it is a cross, siblings can finish several pounds apart.

• Do Cavapoos shed? Are they hypoallergenic?+

  Cavapoos are low-shedding, not hypoallergenic - no dog is. F1B Cavapoos (75% Poodle) usually shed least; F1s (50/50) vary even within one litter. Each puppy page lists the generation, and if allergies are the deciding factor we recommend meeting the puppy first.

• Are your Cavapoo parents health tested?+

  Yes. Every parent in this program is tested for OFA cardiac (echocardiogram), OFA eyes (CAER), OFA patella, OFA hips, Embark DNA panel incl. Episodic Falling, Curly Coat/Dry Eye and PRA-prcd before any mating. Results are issued by the testing body - OFA and Embark - not by us, and we link to their public result pages so you can verify each one yourself rather than take our word for it.

• What are the downsides of owning a Cavapoo?+

  Hearts: The Cavalier side carries mitral valve disease, the breed's leading cause of death. We echo-test Cavalier parents every year, but no breeder can rule it out — budget for annual heart checks from age five. Not hypoallergenic: No dog is. F1B puppies (75% Poodle) usually shed least, F1s vary within the same litter. If allergies are the deciding factor, meet the puppy before you commit. Grooming: A professional groom every 6–8 weeks ($70–$120 each) plus brushing several times a week. Skip it and the coat mats to the skin. Being alone: Bred as companions on both sides, Cavapoos struggle with long days alone. If the house is empty 9–5, plan for a dog walker or daycare. Size varies: "Toy" and "mini" are estimates from the parents' weights. An adult Cavapoo can land anywhere from 8 to 25 lb.
